Dr. Shnaekel is a graduate of Malvern High School and an alumnus of Arkansas State University. He obtained his medical degree and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at UAMS. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction at Southern Joint Replacement Institute in Nashville, TN. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Arkansas Orthopaedic Society, and Arkansas Medical Society.
Dr. Shnaekel has special interest in:
- Primary hip replacement, including direct anterior approach
- Partial and total knee replacement
- Robotic total joint replacement
- Outpatient total joint replacement
- Complex and revision hip and knee replacement
- Periprosthetic joint infections

Dr. Shnaekel’s hobbies include golfing, fishing, BBQ, drone photography, and spending time with his wife, Kelsey, and their Corgis.
